The Supervisory Development Course (SDC) provides research and leading practices about what works in organizational development. Interactive scenarios, quick guides, webinars and quizzes allow you to become more familiar with key supervisory topics; however, putting knowledge into action is when you get the most benefit. Several colleges/units are choosing to apply what they learned in SDC. Check out their stories, experiences and resources below.

2020 Performance Management

Two people having a conversation
2020 Performance Management was convened to advance talent and performance management at the University using research-based best practices. This performance management initiative works to drive performance and development by setting meaningful goals and thoughtful conversations between supervisors and their employees.

Throughout the year, supervisors receive support through central online training and resources, as well as in-person workshops with local human resources to build and hone their leadership skills.

The process begins with setting goals, then check-in meetings with supervisors throughout the year, and finally evaluating performance.
